‘Complex Simplicity’. This is the way that Taschen presents ‘the seminal book about the Portuguese master architect’. ‘Álvaro Siza. Complete Works 1952 – 2013’ is a 500 page, multilingual edition (Portuguese, Spanish and Italian) which follows on from a collection of books that the German art books publisher has been dedicating to great living contemporary architectural figures, adding the name of the first Portuguese Pritzker winner to a shortlist which already includes the Japanese Tadao Ando (Minato-ku, 1941) and Shigeru Ban (Tokyo, 1957), the Iraqi Zaha Hadid (Bagdad, 1950) and the Frenchman Jean Nouvel (Fumel, 1945). Whilst we can’t go through its pages, we can have a guided visit via the people that have visited their works and that have shared them on Instagram. Portuguese version
