Cheias no Sul do Brasil deixam centro histórico de Porto Alegre debaixo de água

Lago do rio Guaíba subiu mais de 4,5 metros, nível mais alto desde 1941. Até agora, as chuvas torrenciais fizeram 39 mortos, mas o balanço deve subir pois há 68 pessoas declaradas desaparecidas.

O lago ultrapassou a marca de 4,5 metros no Cais Mauá pela manhã, o nível mais alto desde 1941, a maior enchente da história da cidade, quando o Guaíba atingiu 4,76 metros. O nível de alerta para a região do centro histórico é de 2,5 metros, sendo 3 metros para inundação.
