“It’s like being inside a film” is what you often hear say about New York. Christopher Moloney, a Canadian living in the city for 12 years, realised that on a banal morning when he was walking across Central Park to get to work, he told P3 via email. The journalist that writes for “Erin Burnett OutFront”, a CNN programme, decided, therefore, last June to ‘print a black and white image from ‘Ghostbusters’. He took a photo of it and published it online. “My friends and family really liked it so I started doing one per day” he continues. Six months later, Christopher, who is 35 years old, has already recreated almost 300 scenes from films shot in New York which have fuelled the tumblr FILMography. In which, Macaulay Culking is still a child in front of Radio City Music Hall and Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan continue back to back at the “You’ve Got mail” café. A.M.H
